2008 Off Price Man of the Year Reception Honors Variety Wholesalers’
Peter Hayes for a lifetime of Achievements and Community Service

Over $250,000 Raised for Cancer-Related Causes

The Off Price Apparel Association put on another enjoyable event last August 24^th in honor of their 2008 selection for Man of the Year – Peter Hayes of Variety Wholesalers.  Accompanied by his wife Marie and two of his three children (his one son lives in Scotland), as well as by buyers and top executives from Variety, Peter graciously accepted the honor.  A cancer survivor himself, Hayes was most grateful for the proceeds raised in his name for three worthwhile charities – St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Brain Center of New Seabury, Massachusetts and Building Fund for Wake County Hospice.  Over a quarter of a million dollars was divided among the three organizations.
