Off-Price Specialist Center Launches Retail Summit & Expo in May

The Off-Price Specialist Center is launching the new Off-Price Retail Summit & Expo with Industry Day on May 5, followed by the two-day Off-Price Expo on May 6 - 7 at the
South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas.

The Retail Summit & Expo will kick off with fun and games at Industry Day golf and tennis at Spanish Trails Country Club followed by an Awards Reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres that evening.

The opening day of the Expo, May 6, will feature the inaugural meeting of the Off-Price Show Retail Advisory Board. According to David Lapidos, Vice President of the Off-Price Specialist Center, "We are excited to host the Retail Advisory Board. As a trade show, our goal is to facilitate business relations between our vendors and our show attendees. The Off-Price Retail Advisory Board includes some of the biggest names in the off-price industry, who will be able to offer valuable feedback to the growing off-price community."

In addition to offering great buys on fall season, Father's Day, and summer apparel, the Expo will hold an Opening Night Reception on Tuesday, May 6; New Buyer Workshops on May 6 and May 7, and a Vendor Advisory Board Meeting on May 7.

"We decided some time ago to completely rethink our spring off-price event," says CEO Steve Krogulski. "Instead of holding our traditional May/June Off-Price Show, we wanted to create a more intimate event where retailers and vendors can network and conduct business in an enjoyable and relaxed setting. The South Point Hotel Casino and Spa is a great facility for networking with friends and colleagues. With the new events we have planned, our hope is that the May 2008 Expo will help both retailers and vendors discover new opportunities for working together."
